Scotland, summer '09

The details of my life are quite inconsequential… very well, where do I begin? My father is an airplane mechanic who chose a job in a city 45 minutes away from our house just so he can routinely complain about having to drive 45 minutes to work every day. As her answering machine puts it, my mother is a Pricing Coordinator for the Geisinger Health Plan from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in a designated cubicle every week day. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. (Not really but I love Austin Powers movies.)

My childhood was typical. Summers in Myrtle Beach, field hockey lessons, and many board games. At the age of 14 we got a computer and my sister stopped playing outside with me. At the age of 16 I got my first cellphone and stopped caring if she played outside with me. I schedule my classes around The Ellen Show, which I watch every morning, and try to watch Oprah every evening.

My favorite color is grey, my favorite book(s) is Wuthering Heights and Summer Sisters, my favorite author is Charles Bukowski (because he has rambling thoughts similar to mine), my favorite movie can be anything made by James Cameron or starring Johnny Depp, and I love to travel.
